Going Boldly in Lake Oswego is an annual chamber music concert featuring repertoire by contemporary composers and premiere performances of Linda Woody's works.

Going Boldly has been hosted by Lake Oswego United Methodist Church and funded by grants from the Clackamas County Alliance for the Arts and the Oregon Community Foundation.  Going Boldly began in 2013 when friend, colleague and mentor Bob Priest invited Linda to organize a concert to be part of the  March Music Moderne festival in 2014. MMM, which showcases 20th and 21st century music and composers has featured exhibitions, films, lectures and concerts – produced specifically for the festival and also organized by other groups including  Friends of Chamber Music  and the Oregon Symphony.

In 2014 and 2015 Going Boldly in Lake Oswego concerts created an exceptional chamber music experience accessible to an audience outside the City of Portland who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend a concert of this type. The concerts were free and benefited  local residents, including senior citizens who are unwilling or unable to commute to downtown Portland concert venues after dark and contend with parking and other issues, including high ticket prices.

Going Boldly concerts also highlight and raise awareness of modern chamber repertoire that is less widely performed, including works by Astor Piazzolla, Calvin Hampton, Portland’s own Lou Harrison, Toru Takemitsu and new music by West Linn composer Linda Woody. Going Boldly in Lake Oswego 2013 was the first MMM concert to be hosted outside of Portland.
